Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 74 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Another brief rain late yesterday cooled everything down and put a bit of water back into the system.  Not even close to enough to stain the water today, everything will be clear.
Fish have been taking small to tiny (16-24) nymphs and midge larvae very well in the riffles.  Fish one under an indicator dry fly or terrestrial as some fish are looking up all day.
Fishing is typically best in the morning and evening when the sun is off the water.
Hatches are sparse and include caddis, yellow sallies, craneflies, and lighter colored mayflies.
Leeches and streamers are starting to catch fish as well.
