UPDATE: 3:30 Heavy Rain band in the area will not last long. Cool rain will cloud things up temporarily.3:30 Rain has calmed down quite a bit and the radar looks clear for the evening.
Viroqua received an insignificant amount of rain last night (.05 inches) so everything is still clear and on the low side.
However, fishing is still going strong. The best fishing is in the morning and evening.
Today we will see clouds throughout the area with a chance of showers in the afternoon.
Fishing has been good using the dry and dropper technique with an indicator dry fly or terrestrial as a surface pattern, then small and thin bodied nymphs dropped about 18 inches below.
Fish have also keyed in on ants, sulphurs, and yellow sallies lately.
Streamers and leeches are getting a bunch of hits under these cloudy conditions as well.
Water temperatures will hold stable with cool, cloudy and drizzly weather.
