Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 86 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Sunny weather is not always the best for fishing, but our water temperatures have been stable and fishing has been great early and late and mediocre during the mid day.It is supposed to cloud up later this afternoon as well as cool down over the next couple of days.
Midges and emergers are working in the mornings, and sparse hatches of caddis, yellow sallies, and sulphurs in the evenings.
Craneflies are still hatching during the day as well so do not forget orange soft hackles.
The majority of the fish are sitting in the riffles and runs while a few are still down deep in the holes feeding on scuds.
