Driftless Area

Rating: 2, temperature: 59 ℉, condition: Dust.

A little more than two inches of rain in town last night has streams flowing cloudy and muddy this morning.  Many will start to clear out by this afternoon, however fishing will be off.
Larger scuds, streamers and leeches as well as San Juan worms will catch fish in the murky water, while the water that clears will fish well with scuds (especially orange) and larger thick bodied nymphs.
Murky water eliminates the hope for many hatches today, so focus sub surface.
The cloudy water will clear by this evening, and will be gone on all but the most agriculturally challenged streams by tomorrow.
