Another gorgeous morning that will turn windy in the afternoon and bring in clouds. The fishing has been good in the mornings on midges, then craneflies in the afternoons along with some tan caddis.
Sub surface thicker nymphs in gray (cranefly larvae) and scuds in gray and tan are working well.
Fish are feeding the best when the sun is off the water, or there is shade. It is mid summer fishing style with late spring water temperatures. Goofy to say the least.
It looks like we may get some showers later on this week, nothing even close to blowing out our water, but an injection of water would make our streams fish much better as they are low and crystal clear right now.
