Driftless Area

Wind has died down, and fishing has picked up. Fish are rising, especially in the mornings and evenings. Caddis pupae are incredibly effective right now when fish are rising. Tie one on below your caddis dry.The caddis are a mix of small black and larger tan caddis. Tan caddis patterns are working better for us on over the past few days.
Sub surface caddis larave and pupae, scuds, and large thicker bodied nymphs are taking fish.
We have also started to notice more craneflies.
Fish seem to be feeding the best in the evening when water temperatures are slightly up and the sun starts to angle low enough to be off the water.
