Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 60 ℉, condition: Cloudy.
Cold night last night dropped water temperatures a few degrees. It was still 32 out at 7 a.m. so no need to be out early. It will be sunny and warm without any significant wind, so the water temperatures will warm up by the afternoon.Early fishing will be sub surface with scuds, and thicker bodied nymphs as fish will be hugging the bottom due to the drop in water temps.
The warmer late afternoon/evening temperatures will bring hatches back and fish should be rising well by this evening.
Saturday is looking like an incredible fishing day. Clouds and warmer, with a warm night tonight. That bodes well for mayfly hatches.
All of our water is clear and flowing well.
