Driftless Area
Rating: 3, temperature: 57 ℉, condition: Dust.
UPDATE 3:00 pm: Only a few showers all day today. Larger waters (Timber Coulee) are showing some stain. The forecast for tomorrow is more of the same. Rains are supposed to subside on Wednesday night and it will warm up by the weekend.Much needed rain falling area wide right now. Nothing is in bad shape, but we will start to see some cloudy water if it keeps up all day especially in heavy agriculture areas.
It is supposed to rain on and off today and tomorrow.
Scuds will be of major importance as they are mating, and any increase in flow levels will flush scuds out of the slack water giving fish an easy meal.
Hatch activity will be less overall today with the exception of blue winged olives.
This is the first real rainshower we have had in the area, and the worms are out in force. Trying a San Juan may not be a bad idea over the next couple of days.
