Driftless Area

Rating: 4, temperature: 57 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Fishing has been quite good over in Iowa.  The flat sections on French and Waterloo and other streams have fish rising to midges and olives in the afternoons (we have even seen caddis hatching the past couple days with the warm weather).  Dry fly fishing in November!
Nymphs and scuds have also been catching fish sub surface.  Heavily weighted flies in size 12-16 seem to be working on the sunny days for fish that are right on the bottom of the creeks.
Leeches have also caught their share of fish as the warmer weather and water have fish feeding well.
Make sure you do not harass any fish on their spawning beds as there are many fish spawning right now.  Also, avoid walking on any brushed gravel.
