Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 56 ℉, condition: Light Flurries.

Fishing remains good, but difficult.  Fish are feeding well on midges, and we have started to see more of a mix of colors in the midges, as well as very sparse March Browns and Olives on certain waters.
Water temps have dipped back into the mid 40s to 50 on most streams.
Fish are eating small midge larvae and other thin bodied nymphs in the water directly below riffles, and scuds and larger nymphs in the deeper water.
With sunny weather and clear water, longer leaders and stealth are a must!
