Driftless Area

Rating: 3, temperature: 47 ℉, condition: Snow.

UPDATE: 2:00 p.m.
We are starting to see some real runoff now.  Murky water being reported on some area streams.  There is no real rain, but temperatures are enough to melt larger amounts of snow.  Expect cloudy water tonight and tomorrow.

The waters are still running clear and fishable even though we are not getting a freeze overnight.  There will be some misty rain today but with little to no accumulation we should only see a slight staining of the water area wide.
Fishing reports from yesterday were quite good with water temperatures flirting with 45 degrees in the afternoon.  Fish were eating pretty much anything subsurface especially scuds and thicker bodied nymphs (hare's ear, prince, etc).
Winter stoneflies and midges are still hatching and we are still seeing sporadic rising from about 10 to 3.
