Creeks are low and clear with summertime water temperatures. Terrestrials are still the ticket right now on the surface. There are some sparse caddis, cranefly and lighter colored mayflies as well. For those of you who are earlier risers, we have started to see the beginnings of the trio spinner fall!
We're definitely in summer fishing mode now where the sun and water temperatures are the limiting factor. Fish early and late and avoid the bright, mid day sun.
Subsurface fishing has been best on tiny bead heads drifted right along the bottom, as well as scuds and leeches.
