Cloudy, with a high near 49. West wind 7 to 10 mph.
A pretty normal day today.
Creeks are clear and a bit low with water temperatures in the low to mid 40s. There is little to no snow on the ground anymore so fear of any snowmelt dropping water temperatures is gone.
Winter stonelifes and midges have been hatching the past few days with fish feeding on them sporadically in the afternoon. Subsurface fishing has been excellent lately on midge larvae, scuds and heavy bead heads fished along the bottom, and leeches or smaller streamers. Water temperatures are at the point that fish will feed well throughout most of the day with the major activity in the early afternoon.
