The warming trend continues! The slow warming is really getting the fish going eating mostly subsurface, but Saturday and Sunday's sunny weather should get more midges hatching. These are excellent conditions in the Driftless. A slow melt that percolates into the ground and doesn't have too much of an affect on water temperatures.
Creeks are clear and flowing well with water temperatures in 39-45 area wide.
Midge larvae, heavy czech style nymphs, scuds, leeches, and pink squirrels subsurface. Smokejumper midges and unweighted pheasant tail nymphs fished in the film for rising fish.
