Wisconsin's season is closed.  We are fishing and guiding over in Iowa.

Sunny, with a high near 24. Northwest wind 7 to 10 mph.
It's cold out there, but with the sun shining it is actually quite pleasant to be outside!

There is no longer a reason to get out there early.  Things have cooled down enough that water temperatures are cold.  Give the creeks a bit of time to warm up and fishing will be better.
Nymphing is key and will be for the rest of the fall/winter.  Roll your flies deep in the mornings, then in the afternoon start fishing the runs and even riffles.
Hatches are dwindling.  There are a few midges and olives around, but the major dry activity is done until we get some warmer temperatures.
