Creeks are clear to medium stain after a weekend with spotty rains. Only one or two creeks are muddy as everything has had quite a bit of time to drop and clear.
On the clear creeks, fishing heavy bead heads during the day right below the riffles and rolling them below undercut banks is key. As the sun starts to go down later in the day, we are seeing lighter colored mayflies (sulfurs, cahills, PMDs) hatching alongside of craneflies and a few remaining caddis.
On the stained water, larger scuds, leeches and San Juan worms will catch fish.
