Rain, mainly before 11am. High near 45. Southeast wind 7 to 13 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
Light rain this morning and warm temperatures to start off the morning. This weather has snow melting and entering the creeks. Expect some stain on the water, and cooler water temperatures. These are not excellent conditions as the snowmelt dumping cold water into the creeks slows things down quite a bit.
The weekend was quite good fishing with midges and winter stoneflies hatching/emerging and water temperatures in the high 30s to 40. We should see that again this coming weekend, but after today and tomorrow we get a cold snap.
Midges and tiny tungsten beads rolled along the bottom are the key, as are small leeches and buggers. On sunny days, larger attractor patterns subsurface work too.
