Wisconsin's trout season opens January 6th.
It's quite cold out there right now, with the forecast for opener is, well, Wisconsin in January. Sunny with a high of 12 degrees is what they are calling for. We will be open on the 6th from 9 until noon.
In the winter time, fishing is best mid day as things warm up. If you can catch a rising water temperature, you will run into fish. Because of our spring creeks, water temperatures are chilly, but stable and with the sun warming things up, bugs and fish get active mid day. The limiting factor is angler comfort.
