It's still warm in the Driftless. Relatively warm for December that is.
We're looking at temperatures in the mid 30s to low 40s all week, with lots of cloud cover and possible light precipitation all week as well. Perfect fishing conditions!
Fish are eating midges and other teeny sub surface bugs and on the warmer days, will rise to midges in the mid day hours. They are also taking scuds and leeches. With leeches, make sure you fish them slowly as water temperatures are still low enough that fish do not move too much to chase flies.
Creeks are clear and flowing normal to a touch low after last week's heavy rain.
