December 29th Weather Report

Posted .

The weather looks great, up until the 4th when temperatures dip back down to the single digits! The good news is there is not a ton of snow on the ground, only a couple feet or so.  We're not supposed to get any heavy snows in the next week so opener will, at least, be snow free.  However it does look chilly.  The forecast is for a high of 14, but under sunny skies.   Long term forecasts change frequently, we will keep you updated on what we are seeing creekside!   Wisconsin Trout Season Re-Opens Jan 7th!

Partly sunny, with a temperature falling to around 24 by 4pm. Windy, with a southwest wind 24 to 29 mph, with gusts as high as 44 mph.   Not a ton of snow on the ground as of now, and nothing major forecasted to come our way between now and opener (SEASON OPENS JAN 7TH!).  Of course that may change, but the long term forecast is a pretty mild.   Creeks are still in great shape from last season's high water, and there is snow on the banks which means we will have some water in the system come spring time.  We are still a bit low on the snowpack, but things can change in a heartbeat in the winter!
